Romsey Organ Works Charterhouse Console

BACKGROUND

Here is an amazing opportunity to acquire an immaculate Charterhouse console, updated, modernised and approved by BEAUTY IN SOUND!

This Charterhouse console was designed by Romsey Organ Works and built by Renatus in 2010. It has remained in the possession the seller since new and it has had very little use.

Having played various Charterhouse consoles before, I can testify to how comfortable they are. Having touchscreens on either side of the keyboards makes you feel encompassed by the organ, and along with high-quality Fatar keyboards, pistons, pedals and swell pedals, I can sincerely recommended these consoles.

Included in the sale are 4 powered loudspeakers. This will allow adaptable speaker layout, and the spreading out of various divisions.

The organ is powered by a brand new Windows 11 PC with 128GB RAM, an AMD Ryzen 5 CPU, 3TB of storage and is running Hauptwerk 9.

Also included is a brand new Focusrite 4i4 audio interface.

I have installed fully-licensed copies of St Mary Redcliffe and Salisbury Cathedral.

Included is a iiyama ProLite TF2252MTS and a brand new TF2234MC touch screen monitor.

The total cost of the organ console, speakers, Hauptwerk software & sample sets, computer and audio interface would now cost you significantly over £20,000 if you bought this new in 2025.

The design of this console is in response to requests for a contemporary instrument that has the smallest possible footprint. Therefore the Charterhouse console will fit in most spaces. Curved legs are the main design feature that are mirrored by the bench. Cables are routed through the rear legs. Touchscreen monitors float either side of the keyboards with minimal exposed cabling.

CONDITION

Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the general condition. The condition of the entire console is excellent, and has had very little use since being bought new in 2010. All the speakers are in good working order, and there are no faulty buttons or keys. The touch screens are in fully-working order, and the Hauptwerk software works without glitches.
